Hello,
I am having yet another carb problem on my '94 Merc Classic 40 HP. It starts up pretty easily and runs perfect at first, but after cruising for a while near WOT, the carbs start dripping when the RPMs are lowered to around idle. There is a lot of dripping, the fuel started dripping out of the powerhead through the drain holes :S. The engine cuts out and won't start for a while b/c its flooded.
I tried twice to reproduce it on the earmuffs, once it did the same thing but after that I couldn't get the problem to occur again. The motor may have been trimmed out a fair amount when the problem happened, could this be the reason for it?
I'm looking for any pieces of advice, especially if I don't have to pull off the carbs and rebuild them - I just rebuilt all the engine internals in this motor and I don't want to have to take the carb off again!
