So if I started messing around with the front motor mounts trying to align the engine coupler and possibly turned one more than the other how do I fix that?

What is really the best way to align the thing and to know what way to go? I do have the merc tool.

-Nate

You really need more than one person. twist the bolts and the shaft should slide in and out smoothly

you need to look at the condition of the front and rear mounts

if you have to move anything more than a small amount one of the mounts could be failing

the splines will leave grease marks on the tool when it starts to go in if theres marks on the bottom of the tool the front would need to be rasied a littel bit to get and even mark around the tool

tommays

Grease the Tool Up Real Good........

Like Tommays says,........ It's the Spline Tracks..........

This will also tell you if you're High or Low, Side to Side.............
