Merc manifold and riser questions

I'm putting my motor back together and I took the risers off the manifolds, to clean off the gaskets. I wire wheeled everything, And i'm wondering if i need to put gaskets back in between, or can I use like a permetex product??

And a little "permetex product" on those gaskets wouldn't hurt either being those are older manifolds.

Well a friend said i didnt need the gaskets, just use permetex, but I wanted to make sure. Where can i locate the gaskets.The risers say Barr marine 20-0082
