A friend of mine bought a boat and motor. The motor is a Merc 50 HP, but he doesnt know the year etc... the SN is 5110396. The engine is black, the name on the sides (Mercury) is silver, on the front of the engine "Mercury" is in red letters, and it has a thunderbolt ignition. What year, model is it, and can he find a manual that will show where and how to replace the water pump?

thanks guys!

I note the name "Airwarrior" - is that a refernce to the late online multiplayer WW2 air-combat simulator?

-W (I had to ask)

Aha! I knew it!

Glad you got a manual OK.

Wayne here... was active from the AW on AOHell days, thru the the very end when EA bought and killed it. Went by =B17= at 1st and later Ratbo. I was very active in the historical scenario events and co-designed the Ploesti event. Went to the annual conventions in Dallas, Indy, and Seatle. I don't know how involved you were with the community, but if you wanna find what's left of the "Alpha Community" I know where they all hide out. :)

Update: Lonestar (CPID +Lone from the Nomads) says to say hi and to get you into our newsgroup where all the old AW types chitchat. Email me directly for newsgroup info.

-W
