ive got an 87 wellcraft with an SE106 outdrive and a merc 4 cyl 170HP. so i uncovered the boat today after a long wet winter and started to check everything, seems my tilt trim motor is dead. solenoid click so i tried to jump b+ to blue and green leads (one at a time) nothing happened. soooo i need a new motor, heres my question, i looked around online, i dont know what i need, my set up is the tilt trim motor with the metal tank for the oil. it has 4 bolts on the top, 2 go into the tank, is this what they call a square style oildyne? or no? i saw some that look mostly the same but they are rounded on one side, is this the correct replacement? thanks soooooo much for the help cant wait to get back out on the water!!

well... it was broke anyway, sooo i took it apart cleaned it with a fine wire brush while being careful not to damage abything, cleaned the brushes, all contacts and everything i could get to, put it together, hooked it to a batt, WOW that thing has some torque for a little motor!!!! hmmm guess it will be ok till i get a new one, just gotta make sure i dont raise the outdrive all the way while im out... :);):D
