Good bye old Mr Manis and Mr Risers (or we callin' them elbows?)! Nice knowing you! I caught you red handed, with the tiniest of a leak. Caught you within a droplet of your little lives. Wow, my little stainless steel elbow friends, you lasted a long time, even though your SS lives were ordered to be executed years ago, as you didn't make nice with your cast iron neighbors, the Manifolds.

So, this is a farwell, and a request for the iboaters:

What's the word on the Mercruiser Street? Do I go Merc stuff or do I go aftermarket? Wasn't Merc stuff absolutely and positively brutal for a while there? Is all good now, or is aftermarket preferred?

This is a salt water boat. Rack stored. Flushed after every day of use.

I think most are okay except for GLM, Those seem to be more miss than hit from what I read here on the forum.

Yeah, I've got a grasp on the issues for the GLM pieces, which, if I recall correctly, are known for not having the nicest of mating surfaces.

No matter what I get, bet on regular flushes. Still wouldn't trade the salt-water experience for anything.
