my merc 68 1000 runs quite well. During my boat restoration, which starts in 2 weeks, im going to do a outboard tune up. have i got this right??

1. Re-built fuel pumps already.
2. Pull all 3 carbs, clean, soak and install new floats, gaskets and adjust.
3. New fuel line and primer bulb
4. set timming, synchronization and throttle adjust.
5. change lower unit oil
6. change all 6 plugs
7. a few wires from switchbox are looking 'shocking' so i am going to replace.

Is there anything im over looking?

cheers

Re: merc tune up

Looks like a plan, but start with a compression test, spark test and fuel sample so you don't do a lot of work for nothing.

DHP
