Merc Type 1 propshaft endplay?

How much (if any) endplay (in and out) is called for on the propshaft...type 1 lower unit, 1971 merc 165 i6? I have a little (maybe .005-.010)...no deflection, runout, side to side. Also what is proper torque procedure for the prop?

A small amount of end play is normal.....
The prop nut should be 55#, then lock the washer.....
