Merc Type I Power Trim Pump

Hi all -

I've recently acquired a complete Type 1 power trim/tilt system from my '74 850 (4 lines.) The main problem is the owner tore the pump apart and then didn't know how to put it back together.

The pump has the number 79227A stamped in yellow paint - don't know if that helps or not. I'm wondering if anyone has a manual or parts diagram for this pump?

Go on the dougrussell.com or crowleymarine.com web sites and look up the exploded parts diagrams.

Unless I'm missing something, I don't see any info for the power trim motors on those two sites?

The same trim system was used over a wide variety of motors. If you can't find a listing for it under your HP and year, then try a larger HP or different year and the info is there.
