Ya I didn't believe it either until I saw it myself. 77 Merc 85hp runs fine on the trailer with the ear muffs on but as soon as you back it in the water it is very hard to start. It seems to lose electrical power when the lower end unit touches the water. We've already replaced some ground connections on the engine that were corroded and suffering heat damage but no difference. We are going to try running jumpers directly from the battery to see if we can bypass the problem. Anyone ever heard of this?
