Hey
while inspecting my Mercarb 2 barrel I noticed the gasket for the intake looked damaged. (Pic 1 ). The center section that separates the barrels is gone. It appears torn away. Which made me wonder if I’d used the wrong one. I have another gasket that came in the rebuild kit (pic 2) Which is the correct one?
I also noticed that both gaskets cover a hole in the bottom of carburetor (pic 3). What’s that hole for? Should it be covered by the gasket? Do I have 2 gaskets that are incorrect? Please advise. I’m checking all adjustments on the carb as I replace the plastic float with a brass one.
