mercard powervalve and venturi question?

the power valve was stuck and wouldnt function properly, the problem I was having was after running the motor for a little bit turning it off, then the fuel would drip out of the venturi and cause it to flood, would a stuck power valve cause this problem or does it sound like a float problem, float weighs 8 grams?

Sounds like a float level issue. The float level should be adjusted so not to be so high it runs out of the venturi. I would say it is either adjusted incorrectly or it has a hole in it and is sinking.
