Last year I installed a new pair of mercathode systems on my twin Alpha Sundancer. The kits included plastic caps that are intended to replace the zinc anodes on the bolts that extend through the transom plate.<br /><br />I did not replace the zinc anodes with the plastic caps. I've also replaced all the zincs about every 3-4 months and I don't seem to have any corrosion problems.<br /><br />What is the general consensus on keeping both the mercathode system and the zinc anodes? Is this the correct way of doing it or is having both counter productive?
