Im changing over my transom assembly(alpha one gen one), the good one im putting on doesnt have the mercathode part on the bottom of the outdrive. The one I took off has it but it is cracked. Should I just buy the new piece and put it on or not really needed? Boat is slipped in brackish water with shore power. Thanks
