MercCruiser Tilt/Trim

[Normandy]

Tilt/Trim motor is not working. Need to move boat to where it can be worked on. Need to raise lower unit by hand. Where is the manual release located so I can raise the lower unit? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There isn't a manual release on those units. You'll have to crack the hydraulic line fittings and lift the leg that way. Then you'll have to secure the leg up because of the air in the lines.<br /><br />Chris..............<br />Edit: or disconect the trim rams from the leg and tie it up.
