mercruiser 120 hp 153 cubic inch piston swap question

I am repairing a mercruiser 120 hp. It is the 153 cubic inch with 3.87 inch bore. Does anyone know if a piston from a 292 chev inline six will fit. I have a line on the six cylinder for free. Finding a new piston for the 153 in Canada is difficult and is weeks away. The rest of the engine is good, just trying to stick one old piston in to keep her running.

Ayuh,... Not sure about the 292, but the 230 uses the same part #....

dunno about 292, but the 283 V8 used the same pistons (3860407)... should be available at Napa in Canada
