I have a 2000 Mercruiser 135 i/0 that was running great and all of a sudden it bogged down. When throttled it just bogged down. Motor will still run but slow. Under no load conditions it idles real rough but when you advance the idle motor seems to smooth out. We checked fuel filter and jets, filter was a little plugged, then drained fuel tank and re-fueled, but still had same problem. Ran a compression check 1,3,4 cylinders had 125 psi, #2 had 110, checked again and 0, ended up checking it 13 times and 5 times it had 110psi and 8 times. I am relativly new to boats and any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks

8 times nothing? Sticky valve. My ex overheated her minivan and one of the valves was sticking. I told her to buy a can of a Gumout sort of product called Berryman's B-12. Available at WalMart, the cheap stuff. She put half in her gas tank and half in her oil. The valve is working now, and she needs an oil change.

I peeked at your other post a few days ago and you accidentally posted in the Chrysler/Force section there, too. OOPS! You'll probably be bumped to the Stern Drive section, so look for more responses there. WOT would be 4500, cruising 3500 - 4000.
