Mercruiser 140 water coming out bellhousing

New here,first post! I'm aquireing a 1985 larson with a 140 mercruiser in it.My son ran it and said there is water coming out behind the bell.I've worked on lot's of these but never had the oppertunity to see what's behing the bell.Is there a freeze plug back there?I hope so! Other than that it run's great and comes with a spare drive,trim and ram's from another scrapped boat.I'm hoping this is an easy fix.Thank's in advance for any help.Grub

Assuming you are referring to the engine bellhousing, yes there is a core plug (they are not freeze plugs) on the back of the engine.
