Mercruiser 165 Throttle Linkage Issue

Hey Guys/Gals,

I have a major problem...I have a throttle linake support bracket that broke...simple fix right buy a new one? NO.! it appears that it is no longer made?

in this drawing part number 1 is what i need.

i considered reparing the old one but i dont feel safe doing so....

anyone know where i can get a new one or suggestions?

p.s. if it matters its a 1973 Mercruiser 165 Serial Number 2972622

if ya can't find a used one somewhere. that might be your only choice. ya didn't say what broke about it. or maybe a pic. i've seen pic of others weld repairs here. most very good. if you yourself don't or can't put the pieces back together, maybe a machinist or a good welder can... i work with small parts and have taken them to machinist to be built up from wear or breaks. they've come back satisfactory.
