I guy I used to work with was telling me about a friend of his putting a 2 speed prop on his boat. I did a search and I could only come up with one site. Are these common at local boat shops? I can't wait till Monday to phone around lol, not a patient person lol.

I would like to find one for a 2012 17.5' w/3.0 mercruiser

why aren't these easy to find? is there a disadvantage to these other than price?

thanks guys!

Ayuh,.... Because they're Out of Production... Used is yer only option....

I run a Land & Sea Torque-Shift prop....
Also out of production, 'n expensive...

The Merc shifting prop uses only 2 speeds/ gears.... Low, 'n High...
The L&S is a variable pitch, which shifts up through, rather than just a High, 'n Low...

I'm running a torque shift prop on a 24 foot sport cruiser with a 496 stroker and I love it . I tried different props and this one well jump out of the hole then shif dropping the rpms considerably. And you can adjust the rpm that it shifts at

They went out of Production for a Reason. Some of it was Legal, and some of it was Durability/Longevity
