mercruiser 228 firing order?

firing oder for 228. Will a car distribitor work on this motor since its a chevy 305. Wanted to put electronic on.

found it in the download manual.
But how do you tell if it has LH rotation or RH rotation?

DO NOT use a car distrubitor, NOT USCG approved!! LH is standard rotation,as viewed from flywheel end, watch the crank pulley it should be turning CLOCKWISE when engine is cranking and running.
