Mercruiser 233 Fuel Consumption

Hi there everyone, I am planning on a trip to Pelee Island next week, and since I have not had any use out of my boat this year since it's been repaired I was wondering if anyone knew the approximate fuel economy of the Mercruiser 233 with a Holley 4 barrel, I would be running it more than likely around 2500rpms, with a 4000 pound boat but if anyone knows the WOT Consumption that would be great. Thanks!

That would be a foolish trip to take on an untested engine after repairs. Running from anyplace in Michigan across open water on lake Eire for 30 to 40 miles can be a challenge knowing the winds can come up in minutes. With an untested engine ....................... scary.

let me rephrase that, I have not gotten any long distance usage out of the engine yet. Not enough to fill up after one outing to really see what fuel consumption is.
