I have a 99 SeaRay Bowrider 180 and went through changing impeller due to some overheating issues but got that resolved. After changing the impeller and btw engine is running 130-170 like it did before, when I ran the boat in the driveway with muffs there was hardly any water coming out the center of prop.

I have only ran it like this a handful of times and cannot remember if this is normal. The water is definitely cycling and cooling but comes out above lower unit...nice and hot might add.

I didn't want to take it to the lake after the impeller repair until I knew this was normal. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Ayuh,... Water takes the path of least resistance,...

A burnt up, fallen shutter could divert all the flow out the idle relief ports,...
