I would like to thank everyone for their help, I have had a ton of issues and gotten through them thanks to your help.

as usual though I have another issue. I have a 95 3.0 lx motor in a 24 ft Godfrey pontoon. I was having fuel issues and finally rebuilt the carburetor and bought a new fuel pump. Took it out twice on all day trips and it ran awesome. This week took it out and ran it about an hour and it was awesome until I came back off wot and the engine stalled at idle. I looked in the throat of the carb and there was a quarter inch of fuel on top of the butterfly. I opened the carb and moved the float and it ran but badly, I found the accelerator pump seal damages and then it started and ran ok except it will only get up to 2800 rpm before choking and then surging. Timing is dead nuts I rechecked it. Could it be a fuel pump issue? There was nothing in either fuel filter, bowl was clean . Vent to tank I blew out, fuel lines are clear.

is there a big enough difference between the fuel pumps between a 3.0lx and and a layer year? Is there a difference between the carbs of a lx va non lx? The current engine is a oF serial number the carb is off of a 0M serial

A very small piece of crud is stuck in the float bowl needle seat valve. Clean the seat valve and anything else that needs it and it should run again
