mercruiser 3.0 Idle

Just bought a 1988 stingray mercruiser 3.0 130hp alpha1. <br />When I took her out the first time she started fine,temp ok, oil ok, but after about 30 mins running at normal temp the idle went low to the point she would die.<br />the points, & plugs are new. <br />Any help on this one ?<br />thanks

do a search for idle mixture adjustment and idle adjustment. this has been discussed before. key word rochester carb rich or lean

could be ignition coil breaking down with heat buid up. gas line vent plugged. restriction in carb filter or pump filter. ignition resistor going bad. float level off.
