Hi everybody,
I have a 1985 Mercruiser 3.0 with the Alpha One. I removed the outdrive from the boat and then I separated the upper and lower units. There is now oil dripping from the two holes in the pictures I've attached. There is a rubber o ring around the hole on the lower unit. Is this normal or did I break a seal somewhere? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Yes it's normal if you didn't drain the drive. That is the oil passage that connects the upper and lower. Without that passage you wouldn't be able to drain the upper or fill it back up.
That oring is actually a special quad ring that comes with impeller kits when you repair your raw water pump.

That's a relief! Thank you very much!
