Mercruiser 3.0 LX Overhaul Gasket set needed

Looking for a complete gasket set for the Mercruiser 3.0 LX. I'm finding tons of them online for the 3.0 for around $100 but they all say (except LX). Can someone please specify the difference if any, or if the 3.0 set will work? Literally a $200 difference for the LX. Thanks in advance!

It should be OEM overhaul kit part number 27-810846A05 (Overhaul Gasket Set 1 pc. Oil Pan Gasket Fits MCM 3.0L/LX (1990 and newer).

But just to be sure, what year or better yet is your engine serial number?

Either way the overhaul gasket kit will be the same for the 3.0 L or LX engine models.

What I have found so far is the manifold gaskets are different. Most of the gasket sets also include the intake and exhaust sets. The engine block is the same
Exp Manifold gasket LX 27-815528, L 27-96429.
Front end cap is different for the two also.

I did read that the manifold gaskets were different, but wasn't aware of the end caps being different. Worse case scenario is I get the overhaul kit, and a la carte the two gaskets that I would need.

My engine serial# is 0K011057 ..Motor is in a 1997 Larson
