I have a 98 3.0 mercruiser engine, I pulled the plugs and are not what is recommended on the arrestor plate. Plugs I took out are NGK BPR6EFS The flame arrestor label indicates AC-MR43LTS. I have ordered the latter one. I want to say I read somewhere that the wrong info was put on some flame arrestors. I did not search the manual, I know I will get a good response here. Thanks

That NGK is an alternative plug for the AC, it's even noted in the service manual. Either one will work just fine.

Re: Mercruiser 3.0 plugs

I've had consistently better luck with the NGKs vs ACs with regard to their ceramic resistors and overall durability. Most on here including Don I believe would lean towards the NGKs.

..but then again.. that's like having another oil discussion for the 5344328744th time.
