Mercruiser 3.0 Power Steering pump

Ok, after chasing a high RPM metalic rattle sound for about a year I determined the noise is coming from the power steering pump. I am not sure if it is the pump or the pulley bearing though. As far as power steering assit goes it works good just got the god aweful rattle at RPM about 4000 that is worsened when turning. My main question is what local auto part would be a good replacment to the outrageously priced merc pump? I found 20-6800 and 20-860 at advance but not sure if they will work.

most are car pumps with a relocated oil return line. the return line can be moved to fit the application or the res can be removed and installed on the new pump

Ok. I picked up a new pump at autozone today for $40. I will try and put the old res on the new pump and install hope it works out. $500+ for a pump from merc seems like an outrageous rip. I don't see any difference

New power steering pump fixed the problem
