Mercruiser 3.0L compression number ?

HI,<br /><br />I am in the process of buying a boat w/ Mecruiser 3.0L (Yr 1992).<br />Is ther e any know what is the good compression range for this engine?<br /><br />Thanks in advance..<br /><br />Beachcraft

Around 120 psi. You want all cylinders to be within 10 to 15 percent of each other.

I'm looking at buying a 4cyl 1998 Bayliner Capri with a Mercruiser 3.0L.

The compression numbers we got were:
1) 130
2) 130
3) 130
4) 120

These numbers look in line with the other threads I've seen as target psi, but just wanted to reality check and ask how concerned I should be about the 120?
