I have a 2006 Mercruiser engine in my Glastron MX 175
that will not start. When i try to jump the starter with a screw driver all i get is a loud knock. Engine will not turn over. Does this mean its the starter itself?

At this point, it could be the starter or it could be the engine hydro locked or rusted solid. Pull the spark plugs out and see if the engine will turn over by hand.
You can also pull the starter and get it checked. You can also use a screw driver to bar the flywheel of the engine over through the starter hole.

Ayuh,... It sounds more like the motor is Locked up,...
Do as Don says to see...
If it still won't roll over with the sparkplugs out of it,... Pull the Drive off to make sure it's the motor...

Thanks for the info everyone. I'm having a hard time with this boat. Its not even three years old. My problems all started when i went to start it the first time after being winterized. All i got was a clicking noise. I tested battery and it was bad. Replaced battery and now i get nothing when i turn the key.

That loud knock usually means the starter is engaging, but the engine won't turn.

Are you sure you got all the wires back in the right place?

This should help you find the starting problem. http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=167035

Did you short anything (make sparks) at any time? there is a square fuse on the starter solenoid that may have blown if you did. Still should check it.

Yes, all the wires were placed back on the new battery correctly. I made sure i zip tied them together before removing them from the old battery. Kept all - together and + together to make sure nothing was crossed. I have also checked the 90amp fuse and it tested ok.
