I was thinking about getting a 3.7 470 block and throwing an aluminum head on there. Has anyone done this before, and, could I go to raw water cooling if i wanted?

dont waste your time. spend the $2000 and do it internally and do a port job. dont polish though as it wont atomize the fuel. ive got a list of parts that wont really make the reliability go away, just give more of a rev and breath better. about another 100-120 hp. hog out the stock heads to about 300cc on the intakes and i think its 115cc on the exaust. they have 75 and 95cc combustion chambers available from edelbrock. but the more rpms the ford sees, the more trips to the gazzz station your goin to be doin :D i also hogged the intake out to match the head ports. but my glass cc tube was doin most of the work for me. thats the key.
