Hey:

I've got a 1989 Glasstron 19' sport/bow rider. It has the 305 in it but I can not find any specs on this engine being in the 1989 edition. Does anyone know the info n' specs on this motors option ?

Do you also have any links that may show the GPH and/or cruising speed ect ? I'm just in the process of purchasing it, and pick it up this coming Fri night. Gonna have to put a new Alpha 1, Gen 1 on it but does not seen like a big deal. Being so, I've not put it in the water yet to gauge any performance specs ect. Heck, I dont even know the fuel tank size yet !

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,..... If ya click on the link in my signature titled Don'S Adults Only Section, which is also found at the top of all the I/O forums,....
You'll find a treasure trove of Great info for new boaters that wanta learn 'bout their new toys,...

Those 305s were at 'bout 190/ 200 hp with the 2v carbs, 'n 'bout 225/ 230 hp with the 4v carbs,....

Fuel usage is tough to call, idlin' the fuel lasts forever,....
Wot throttle, 'n the tanks empty in no time, but ya get there quicker,....
Usually, 'round 3200/ 3500 rpms is the trade off point in most boats,....

Fuel usage in almost all spark ignighted inboard or I/O boat motors is 0.4 pounds of fuel per hp per hour. Use 6.7# of fuel per gallon

Basically if your worried about fuel usage in a boat, get one with a sail or oars. Otherwise, your fuel usage is directly proportional to the power you are using
