Hello all. I recently bought a 97 Chaparral 1830 with mercruiser 4.3. Boat ran great during the pre-buy and thought all was well. After doing some digging, I found the the electrical was been all rigged up. Here are my questions.
1. I don't have a switched post on my starter for the fuel pump to connect to. New starter. Where should I start with this?
2. The fuel pump will run when connected to any 12V terminal. Doesn't matter if the pressure switch is in the circuit or not.
3. What does the purple/white wire do? Currently connected to the drive unit oil level sender. I don't think this is correct.
