I have an '82 mercruiser 470 that I am rebuilding. I have heard that this engine puts out 170 hp or 190 hp depending on carburation. What is this magical carburetor? and where do I get one?

Its a 4bbl carb and a diffrent manifold. Which are practicly made of gold. the 190 version also has an oil cooler aswell built into the manifold.

I am guessing it will be expensive, but I am in need of a new carb anyway. I was thinking it might be worth the extra cash for the easy horse power. Do you know who makes it or where to get one?

Ebay is the only chance or a junked motor. NLA from merc.
