mercruiser 470 exhaust riser blanking plate

Hi,

I'm replacing the exhaust riser on my engine (470 with the heat exchangers). When I removed the riser there was a steel blanking plate, I guess to keep the raw water separate from the fresh. However, my new replacement plate has a small hole, about 1/8". Is this a modification or have I got the wrong part?

The new plate is an original Quicksilver part - Plate-Exhaust #60207
