1988 5.0lx mercruiser thunderbolt iv ignition rochester carb, mechanical fuel pump ,engine was running an hour earlier no problems ,went back to start ,delco alarm low pressure sounded ,and stayed on ,turned key to start ,motor turns over ,but does not start ,engine turns alot easier or freer than before ,normally motor would have a little snap to it when it would fire now its turns easier, with no fire ,definitely sounds like some sort of kill switch on or no spark, i have replaced the following before all this happened ,coil , plugs ,wires ,starter ,alternator, distributor cap, rotor, ignition switch ,thermostat, the switch and thermostat were the most recent items replaced only reason i mention thermostat is that i found out i had no thermostat in housing and that was replaced earlier that day ran fine all worked fine shut down went to start up and alarm came on ,but would not start ,could ignition switch got screwed up when alarm came on,when alarm comes on does it pop fuses ,checked all were fine ,want to check with experts before i dive into check electronics with ohm meter or light
