Mercruiser 5.7 & Alpha I Exhaust Y Pipe Mounting

Good Morning:

I am in the process of changing my thru-hull exhaust back to thru prop. I bought the boat with thru-hull so I am unsure on how the Y-pipe mounts. Does this thing require a gasket when mounting to the transom inside the back of the boat. according to the merc diagram it doesnt say anything about a gasket. Just 4 bolts. can someone confirm this? Thanks

As I remember it, mine had an o-ring between the y pipe and the transom. Look for a groove in the transom side.
