I currently have stock exhaust setup on a Merc 5.7 / 260 HP. I have a need (routine check) to open up the exhaust for inspection, check condition of the elbows, components. I have seen an Mercruiser exhaust option from Moore Performance. Its called a "triple exhaust" that allows thru-transom pipes but maintains the connection to the Y-pipe.

Has anyone deployed this? Favorable Results? Challenges?

Ayuh,.... Other than it'll make more Noise,... I don't see any reason for 'em....

it's 'bout the same pipe as the switchable diverters, without the diverter...

Same thing as the COrsa Quick and Quiet. I have the Corsa System on my Crownline 210CCR with a built 5.7 vortec engine. Mine has the muffled tips. I really like the sound but am unsure about a performance difference from just the exhaust because i went from stock 250hp to 330-340hp. It sounds like a sweetly purring 'Vette engine to me. Wife doesn't like it too much though....

Yes - I hear Corsa is a nice option. Did you go out sides or thru transom? Lastly, if swimdeck present, are you under or over?

Just a thought - Depending on the year and style of your Y-pipe, those triple exhaust pipes may not fit. I tried that a few years ago on my 1982 Merc 898. You need to make sure you have the oval Y-pipe before you buy any triple pipe or diverter system. My 1986 5.7 had a 3-inch diameter circular Y-pipe that didn't fit the triple pipes either.

I had some custom pipes made with a diverter. I love the sound of opening them up and rocketing through the lake, but if you plan on having a conversation with anyone while you boat then you really need the option of the silencer.
