Mercruiser alpha 1 gen 2 serial id

Hi. I bought a mercruiser drive last week, but the owner didnt know too much about it. It has serial 0w548135.

Anybody have any info about this number?

It's a 98 and newer design, with a 1.62 gear ratio.

Thanx The previous owner was talking about maybe 2006 mod. But i guess the usermanual is the same from -98 and present?
