Mercruiser block stamp #880

What does tell me. I'm insearch of a serial # to confirm the engine being a 305ci or a 350ci but all i can see is the stamp #880

Is this enough to tell me if its a 350 or a 305?

880 is a 350 roller motor with the plastic timing chain cover.

I guess that would help narrow down my search. The boat is 1998 so should the motor.

i will have more time in the next couple days to further investigate. I'm going to start taking out the interior so i should be able to see more of the motor. Just dont know how to look on the underside of the block like i'm use to looking for serial #
