Mercruiser bolts

Can anyone tell me what you use to remove the bolts that holds the top plate on a mercruiser alpha 1 are? Are they called 10mm triple square?

3/8 ths, 12 point socket, Sears, hardware stores, auto parts stores ,etc.

American autos may have started going to metric back in the 80's... but not Mercruiser.

Hmmmmm do you apply a sealant around the oil seals? Appears to be some kind of green around the old 1's i removed .

Im reffering to the drive shaft seals in the upper out drive housing.

Red loc-tite on the seals is good! The green stuff makes me think it's been to an OMC dealer. No body else uses HT-400!

'course somebody is give stuff over that, too!
