Can someone tell me what the stainless tubes are going up and around the outdrive and connecting to the bottom of the outdrive. My Bravo 1 appears to have holes drilled in these locations but no tubing. What are these and what do they do? Thanks!

Yep drive showers. But are you sure your holes aren't from a previous "whale tail" "hydro foil" or some other bolt on "planing aid" device? Not that it matters, you have uneccessary holes in your anti-ventilation plate.

Ahhh, good point TilliamWe, I bet you're right. I don't like those whale tail things either. How bad would the holes affect performance? Can I just fill them in with lets say bondo and paint black over them?

Ayuh,... Use an Epoxy based filler, like marine-tex,... Bondo is too porous...

I agree. Bondo is not good for filling holes, not even in cars.
