Hi, the bottle is leaking at the nut on the bottom, at the seal, not the wires coming out of it. This nut just spins in circles if I try to unscrew it. It is connected to a sensor on the inside & I didn't want to hold that still & break something. A replacement piece of Tupperware:D is $60-$70.

1. Does this nut come off?

2. If not, any recommendations to seal it in place? I thought of the gel Super Glue, silicone caulking and epoxy. Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Ouch. Guess that's why it's $70+.

Actually the tightening nut is inside...around the sending unit. If you can figure out a way to get a crow's foot onto it you might be able to tighten it. You could try to turn the outside (clockwise--looking at it) and hope that the nut inside stays put long enough to get tight. This would be safe to do with the bottle out and the wires loose.

I tried to do this--and got nowhere. I replaced mine...and ended up thinking that it was money well spent!

Happy boating!
