Mercruiser Gauges

I have a 1992 Wellcraft I/O with 4.3 Mercruiser. My temp gauge when cold reads 160 after running boat it goes to 240. I know its not running hot because I can put hands on risers. I have 160 degree thermostat in it. I feel pretty sure it is the gauge. Is their anyway to calibrate or test gauge or just replace. Also my oil pressure runs around 80 under load and around 40 at idle. I am thinking both gauges are worn out and was thinking of replacing all of them.

remove the wire at the sender and with key "on" see what the reading is. 160 ,bad gauge, no reading ,bad sender
