I've searched the forums and haven't found a good precedure in testing a fuel pump on the efi models. I have a 2005 4.3l Mercruiser EFI model with only 25hrs. Just purchased the boat a few weeks ago and it seems like IF i can get it started it will run fine. After finally getting it started, I went out for an hour and turned off the engine to see how well it started back up. Even with the motor at operating temp, it was still difficult to start. I'm thinking it might have a faulty fuel pump and was wondering if there is a way to test them? I hear it turn on when turning the key to the start position but i'm wondering if maybe it's not getting enough pressure? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
