OK, Ill try to explain this as best I can. Its on a 73 Starcraft Chiefton. Mounted on the stern is a hydraulic mechanism (lets call it a do hickey if you like) over top of the hydraulic motor for the tilt. It has two wires going to it one is grounded to the tilt motor and the other goes to a small terminal on the solenoid that operates the tilt. It also has two hydraulic lines on it, one goes to the tilt reservoir the other to the base of the shift lever. What is it? Is it to lock the out drive down when I put it in reverse or something? Next question
. I have a trim gauge that does not work and in my manual, which sucks by the way, it shows a sender on the gimble ring to control it, there is no sender on mine, does the gauge work by another method that is not shown in my manual or is mine just missing? There is a trim stop switch at the top, but that is the only switch on the outside
