MerCruiser MC-1 Trim/Tilt trouble shooting help please

I'm starting my trouble shooting on the trim system and need a little help.
I have 3 buttons on the dash and only the bottom button makes the pump make any noise.
I would love to find a wiring diagram online.




So where do i start?

OK, I'm a little lost because I've never owned a boat with power trim and have never seen it in use.

First, 3 buttons- top is labeled "up", middle is labeled "up/out", bottom is labeled "in".
what is supposed to happen when i push each button?


Second, the top button does nothing, middle does nothing, and the bottom makes the motor run. Also if i hit top and middle at the same time the solenoid clicks, but that's all.

IN = Down
Out/Up = trim up
UP Trailer bypass.

From full down, pushing the Out/up button raises the drive up approx 15? that is the trim range.
To raise the drive further for trailering, you press the top two buttons at the sametime to bypass the trim limit switch.

seems I reversed the hydraulic lines, but I know what to do there.

What about the solenoid click? Does the solenoid reverse the motor? If its just clicking is that a sign its bad?
