Mercruiser Morse Throttle Control

Hey guys,

I have a Mercruiser Morse Throttle control - everything on it works, other than locking into neutral which won't allow the boat to start. I can push it (with a bit of force) and it will move forward and backwards without disengaging neutral. Can these be re-built or repaired at all?

What is actually defective on yours? Can you post the worn parts or parts for us to see?

Are there updated versions that I can replace with? I'm not familiar with this very much

I replace my top mount control with one of the newer Gen2 controls. Here is the equivalent of mine for a flush mount like you have:

You will have to get different cables to use this.
