Mercruiser parts vs. After market parts ?

I am looking to purchase a couple different parts for my 1983 Mercruiser 485 185 hp I/O motor the parts I need are exhuast manifold, riser, head gasket and all the gaskets I need to replace these Items what is the difference in Mercruiser parts and say the parts you can order from Overtons? there is a huge price difference why is this?

First of all iv had no problems with aftermarket. Overtons are usually high. Check this out? web page
